reverse trike | Thu, 26 Apr 2012 Posted by : Donnie
Just like most of you I frequent many message boards and yahoo groups. I am also a fan of reverse trikes. Enter the Sceadu SD-1 . At first glance (as well as 2nd and 3rd) is is not the most visually appealing trike on the market. In fact is is an ugly duckling if you ask me. But it is growing on me. How could it not?
What attracts me to it is the simplicity of it. It comes in kit form for around $2500 . In addition you will need to supply an engine such as a GX series honda (go cart engine) and some other items. I bet for about the $3500-$4000 range you could have one of these up and running.
Apparently you can even make these things road legal. I can see how it would be a fun little grocery getter. If you want more information on this neat little kit check out http://sceadu.com/products_sd1.html . I do not know them, but if you buy one be sure to let them know you found them on priceofhistoys.com
Manta Mirage | Tue, 24 Apr 2012 Posted by : Donnie
One of our readers John send us an email about this Manage Mirage that is for sale on the Bay. According to the auction the car was fully assembled at one time, but sometime in 1988 it was disassembled for paint and other improvements and never put back together. It has a 331 Chevy small block with a kelmark adapter kit.It also have a really cool digital gauges set up.
The BIN is $12,500 and I want it! So if all you readers would like to see a new price of his toys promo car start donating..hahaha.
Here we go again. What I would say is another overly high priced project car. No title, running motor, and as you can see not only is there no interior, there are NO floors..haha.
Anyway if you are in Georgia and interested in this $5000 project car you can find it here http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/cto/2893842009.html
All kidding aside, what would the readers pay for this project? I would not go much higher than $1000 but I am cheap

I wanted to take a minute and give you an update on the things that have been added to price of his toys. Maybe you have noticed, and maybe you have not.
- New website theme and logo.
- New kit car classified section where you can buy, sell or just browse. Please feel free to start posting your free ads today.
- New forum. This forum came about when Paul acquired laser917.net. It was decided that price of his toys would serve as a great place to add a forum and the members of laser917.net would fit right in.
I think as of now everything I set out to do has been complete. I hope you all like the end result. After all it is all of you who have made price of his toys the best kit car site on the net. As always I appreciate your comments, concerns, and suggestions.
George sent us this great photos of his Valkyrie. He purchased the body new but it still needed a ton of body work to get it right. He also made several changes to the body to give it the great look it has.
Check out that custom dash. I think this should be on all of them.

Jim sent us a few photos of a Gazelle he found in a barn located in New York. Looks like a great find indeed.
Rounding off Paul’s eBay finds for the day is this great looking maxi taxi. Sure it could use a little wax or some new paint, but by the looks of it the car is ready to drive. This might end up being a really good deal for someone.

And this is one of those times. While we applaud anyone who gets their hands dirty and builds or restores a car, we do have to ask why? I love airplanes, and am working on my pilots license, but i want to fly a plane, not drive one!
I have just realized that this is one of those rare instances that I just have nothing more to write. Check out http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1974-Airplane-rocket-car-custom-built-350-v8-three-wheel-3-wheel-custom-made-car-/290696403146?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item43aedb18ca if you want to own a driving and non flying plane
Ok so this is one of those cars that you really love or you really hate. I really love them. I have had a few chances over the years to purchase one, but lack of space has always got in the way. This one is a great starting point and looks really solid. I know the owner of this car from various other websites and I am sure he hates to see it go. If you want something that not many people out there own there is your chance.
Just like a lot of kit cars out there, production numbers are all over the place. Some people will tell you 25 were made others will tell you 150. Whatever the number may be they are really cool. So if someone would like to “donate” one to Price of his Toys as a build project we would love it
